Electric Strength
Electric strength is measured by placing a disc of rubber of known thickness between two electrodes and increasing the voltage gradually or stepwise until electrical breakdown occurs. It is expressed in Volts per unit thickness (e.g. KV per mm or V per 0.001"). See ASTM D149
